Live dealer software designer Evolution Gaming has announced that they will be building a new live dealer casino in British Columbia, Canada this year.
The studio will be ready to go by the end of the year and will be the group's eighth studio worldwide. The studio will provide live dealer games for the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, which runs the PlayNow gaming brand in the province. The two groups entered into a five-year supply deal, with renewal options coming after the term expires.
The facility will have 16,000 square feet of recording space and will be able to support licensed sites from other Canadian provinces down the line. The games available at the studio will include baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and more, creating 170 jobs in the process.
Speaking about the deal Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund said, "Entering the Canadian market with BCLC signifies a huge breakthrough, outside of our European operations. Through this new partnership we are confident we will deliver the very best Live Casino experience for BCLC players, and an exceptional Live Casino studio facility for BCLC and other Canadian lottery jurisdictions in the future." "This latest expansion consolidates Evolution's position as global leader in the B2B Live Casino market. This delivery further highlights our ability to provide solutions that meet the most stringent requirements of regulated markets."
British Columbia Lottery Corporation Vice President of eGaming Monica Bohm also commented, noting: "We are delighted to enter into this agreement with Evolution, to bring the thrill of live, interactive casino gaming to our online players. New and innovative products like Live Casino will help BCLC continue to deliver the very best in gambling entertainment to our players while benefiting communities across British Columbia. "
