Early today a punter hit it big when they struck the Mega Moolah Mega Jackpot for a huge $9,572,528 prize, a huge get for a punter that was fortunate enough to strike the jackpot.
We are still awaiting details on this huge win, but we can confirm that the prize was hit and is the 32nd win for the game since we began tracking it in December 2009. On average the game pays out $5,526,874, every 11 weeks. The largest prize in the game's history is £13,212,882, which was hit by Jon Heywood at Betway in October 2015.
UPDATE: We have some details on the big prize. The jackpot was hit by a player at Zodiac Casino, who struck the prize on their mobile phone. The jackpot was hit in Euros, so this prize's official count is €6,681,487. The prize is being paid out in one lump sum, and as usual the management of the casino and Microgaming were quick to comment on the win.
Casino Rewards (Zodiac's owner) Promotion Manager Emma Hall said, "Casino Rewards are thrilled to welcome their eighth lucky member to the Millionaires Club! 'CF' became the latest success story when he hit the jackpot playing on his mobile phone. It was in Zodiac casino where 'CF' received the welcome promotion of 80 chances to become a millionaire for only €1, and he is now the second multi-million jackpot winner of this promotion since the start of the year!"
Microgaming's Dave Reynolds also spoke out, noting: "Mega Moolah has consistently made the headlines since launching over ten years ago, and it seems set to continue that trend. Congratulations to Zodiac and their player on this life-changing win!"
