EnergyBet Pulling Out of Polish Gaming Market

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Internet casino EnergyBet has announced that they are leaving the Polish gaming market effective April 1st.

The decision comes as the Polish government is working to open its market but also clamping down on unlicensed operators within their borders. This decision to pull out protects the casino group from legal action by the government. Along with the pullout, EnergyBet is also pulling advertising and promotions to the market, with those ceasing immediately.

Speaking about the matter EnergyBet CEO Marcin Sapinski said, "The Polish market has always been very important to us, and we share the frustration of Polish customers. We will continue to monitor developments, with the aim of returning to the Polish market if things change. In the meantime, we would like to thank our Polish customers for their understanding."
