Internet betting group Betsson announced this week that it has purchased the Spanish online gaming group Premier Casino for a €3 million consideration.

Premier is currently owned by Mediaset Esana Comunicacion, S.A., and currently offers standard casino, live dealer, and mobile games to their customers. Games are provided via Playtech and Net Ent, and are available in both desktop and mobile formats to more than 260,000 registered customers. Both groups expect the deal to close by the end of this month, as the purchase is strictly in cash.

Commenting on the deal Betsson AB CEO Ulrik Bengtsson said, "Spain is one of Europe's largest gaming markets and especially casino is growing fast. Betsson's strategy of building and running locally strong casino brands, for example in the UK and Italy, makes me confident that we will build leading brands also in Spain. This acquisition is in line with Betsson's ambition to increase the share of locally regulated revenue."

Betsson shows huge ambitions to expand their business even further trough that deal and obviously Spain is an important destination in that direction.

I think this is a smart choice and without any doubt, if they decided to do it- they are sure that's the right way to go.

I dont think the BML group can ever really go wrong as it seems they managed very well on the business side of things, They a listed company so this purchase will probably only make their share stronger
