Internet betting group Betsson has been granted court approval to purchase gaming firm NetPlay, coming a month after the NetPlay board approved a £26.4 million purchase.

The approval will see the NetPlay brand picked up by Betsson and shares for the group will be suspended effective Friday. Investors in the company will receive 9p per share when the purchase is complete. Now that the deal is approved by all parties involved as well as the courts, the process will be fast-tracked into completion.

The NetPlay brand operates NetPlay TV, which offers betting services throughout the UK. Other brands under their umbrella include Jackpot 247, Super Casino, and Vernons.
