Kenya May Tighten Gambling Laws

The government of Kenya is meeting to discuss stricter gambling controls for its sportsbetting industries, with possible fines for companies growing to be more severe.

The politicians are debating amendments to the Betting, Lotteries & Gaming Act, and would see advertising and promotions getting stiffer controls through a national media marketing ban. The bill is facing an uphill climb to be passed into law, as the sportsbetting industry is wildly successful in the African country, providing tax money for the government and jobs for Kenyans alike.

There were no politicians providing comment on the proposed changes as of press time, but we will update this story as more developments arise.

As a whole I think local politicians have the right intentions but of course it depends how they would be implanted into the eventual new laws.
