The World Series of Poker is coming to the Netherlands next year as a satellite event for the World Series of Poker International Circuit Series will commence next autumn.
The event comes after the Holland Casino signed a deal with WSOP parent Caesars Entertainment, and will see a series of events coming to the casino, which is one of the only spots where legalized gambling can take place in the Netherlands.
Commenting on the announcement Holland Casino CEO Erwin Van Lambaart said, "We are proud of the collaboration between Holland Casino and the largest poker brand in the world. The WSOP is a wonderful addition to our already broad range of poker, and it has national and international allure."
World Series of Poker Director of Events Gregory Chochon also commented, noting: "As a European, I know Holland Casino to be a party that is capable of organizing large and prestigious poker events, such as the historic Master Classics of Poker. We are very proud that the WSOP can work together with such an iconic casino chain and we are looking forward to seeing more Dutch players take part in the WSOP in Vegas."
