Unibet Signs on to Combat Football Corruption

Internet betting firm Unibet has announced that they've signed a cooperation agreement with the group Early Warning System GmbH, which works to ensure that there's no match-fixing in football matches.

Unibet will be working with the group to exchange information on wagers being placed, which can be combined with other intel to help ensure fair play in the sport. EWS is a subsidiary of FIFA, and has been in operation for the last ten years to help keep up with football integrity.

Commenting on the deal Unibet Sports Betting Integrity Officer Eric Konings said, "Matchfixing is a threat to football, to our industry, and to our company. It is our firm belief that cooperation between all relevant stakeholders is the key to eradicating this problem, and therefore, we are happy to team up with FIFA in this battle. We operate under the see something, say something approach, and this cooperation enables us to directly and immediately alert FIFA in case of an integrity concern. This further supports our efforts in keeping the world of sports, and our platform, free of criminal activity."

An Early Warning System spokesman also commented on the deal, noting: "The cooperation with Unibet, a reputable global sports betting operator with expertise in exposing potential match manipulation, will further improve EWS' efforts to protect the integrity of football."

Yes or at least they are against a corruption and match fixing they don't know nothing about it 😉
These bookies should stop playing honest and admit that match fixing is even worst for them than it's for the sport - it's simple they could loose millions because of it.
