Man Jailed for Stealing £254,538 to Gamble Online

This week the manager of a Marks and Spencer store in Cambridge, United Kingdom, ending up being sentenced to three years in jail for stealing £254,538 from the store in order to gamble online.

Martin Trenor was given the stiff sentence for stealing the money from his store between March 19th, 2015 and March 21st, 2016, but actually avoided a longer sentence as he cooperated with law enforcement once it became apparent that the money was missing. Furthermore, Trenor also worked with the company he scammed in order to make sure the incident never did it again.

The defendant's lawyers said that he is suffering from a gambling addiction, which caused him to commit the crime.

Speaking to the court Cambridge Prosecutor Caroline Allison said, "What he was supposed to do was take the profits from those franchises, complete the necessary paperwork, and take the cash to the bank. What he was actually doing was completing the paperwork on the correct income but when it came to taking the cash to the bank, he was taking it for himself and putting it into his own bank account."

Al right the gambling addiction is one thing but that sounds like a well planed operation, he walked to the bank and putted all these money in his own bank account for a period of a year so that's not exactly emotions.
Not any gambling addict steals...I guess 😉
And the biggest joke I've heard is that his sentence is so short because he cooperated to the authorities in a crime that' his the only perpetrator 😂 I guess he cooperated by stopping stealing after been caught 😀 The guy done what he could, they should just release him because of his cooperation 😠
