Ladbrokes in Violation of UK ASA

This story was published more than 7 years ago.

UK betting firm Ladbrokes has run afoul of the UK Advertising Standards Authority with an ad which the regulator claimed had unclear and misleading terms.

The ASA claims that Ladbrokes had an email promotion that had a wagering requirement on a bonus, but ruled that the terms of the bonus wagering requirements were not clear enough. Because of the ruling, Ladbrokes is not allowed to offer the promotion unless the terms are more clearly spelled out.

Recently the ASA has been clamping down on betting operators, making the groups spell out the terms and conditions for their offers that take place on television, radio, or through digital distribution.

It's not a rare thing with this unclear terms but I wonder if organisatins like ASA are after all bookies/casinos or just after the most famous ones...because that's my impressions... 🤷
