Internet gaming firm NYX Gaming has announced that they have signed a deal with PokerStars, and will be able to offer casino games on the company's Romanian poker site, PokerStars.ro.
The deal will see a series of NYX and other game developer titles being offered through the Open Gaming System, bringing slots, table games, and other standard games to Romanian players using the world's most popular online poker client. Romania recently liberalized their online gaming market, offering the chance for operators to apply for a gaming license, which both NYX and Amaya Gaming (PokerStars' parent company) have taken advantage of.
Commenting on the deal NYX Gaming Commercial Director David Johnson said, "It's great to see that PokerStars.RO will launch in Romania with proven quality NextGen content. This is further evidence of the strong relationship between NYX and PokerStars."
Amaya Director of Casino Sam Hobcraft also commented, noting: "We are pleased to have games from NYX on our new PokerStars.RO domain. The launch of a full license in Romania will aid our goal of assuming a leadership position in online casino across Europe."
