Man Convicted of Running Illegal Gambling Machines

This week a Pennsylvania man was found guilty of operating a series of illegal gambling machines in Lawrence County, and will be forced to pay the state $500,000 from the money he made on the venture.

Frank Medure and his son Frank Jr plead guilty this week to the charges, and the father was assessed the forfeiture order. He plead guilty to a felony charge of running a corrupt organization as well as a misdemeanor charge of running the gambling machines. He will serve 20 years on probation for the felony charge, with another 5 years for the misdemeanor tacked on to the supervision period. Frank Jr will serve three months probation.

As part of the plea deal, Frank Sr will be forced to pay a half million dollars to an interest bearing account that is held by the Attorney General. He has already paid $89,053, with $410,947 remaining.

The case against the two has been in process for over a year, as the men originally faced more than 50 charges for running 74 gambling machines.

So it sound like the guy has made more than those $500 000 and he will just pay the authorities their part of something which suppose to be illegal I don't know
And what about the punters he cheated? Hopefully they will be compensated too...one way or another.
