Yggdrasil Launches Social Media Integration into Games

This story was published more than 7 years ago.

Internet betting firm Yggdrasil Gaming has announced that they have launched a new tool that will allow players the opportunity to boast about their wins to friends on social media platforms.

The new tool is dubbed BRAG, and will allow players to share with friends their big wins on slots via Facebook and Twitter. The feature will allow players to reach back into their last 10 spins to find a win to share.

Commenting on the new tool, Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said, "There is nothing wrong with a bit of bragging, and with Yggdrasil's new BRAG tool we are giving players the opportunity to share their success with the world. Once again Yggdrasil has launched an industry-first innovation which has the potential to drive revenues for operators and create a more engaging experience for users. There will be plenty more to come from BRAG, with new features to be rolled out in the coming months."

BRAG is available now with all of Yggdrasil Gaming's slots.

This would probably be a very useful addition in fact, what's better than to show and praise about your winnings in front of your friends, 😀 although I don't even have a facebook profile 😀

Clearly, this is basically just Yggdrasil helping themselves to some free marketing. It's a smart idea to implement this - someone will eventually share, and that can lead to more and more attention being brought to the casino games. Plus, with the fact that you're only sharing wins, potential players would be more interested if they see a medium-large win. (That's why many casinos only show winners, not losers)

This is a tool I don't really care about as I am not on any of the social media the tool would be applied to. Even if I was, I feel like bragging about winnings can bring bad luck because people are really jelous.
