Internet poker site PokerStars has reportedly banned professional poker player Sorel Mizzi from playing on their services after it was alleged that he used a VPN to circumvent geographical restrictions on the software as well as playing on another player's account.
Mizzi was found to be playing in the United States, and was using another player's account to gain favorable advantage in tournaments. The pro had admitted to these activities in a podcast earlier this year, which is a clear violation of the PokerStars terms and conditions.
Speaking about his activities Mizzi said, "I was being sneaky and I got caught and it sucks. Do I feel terribly guilty about doing this? To be honest, no not really. I create my own moral universe."
To date Mizzi has generated $11 million in winnings, with $7 million coming in real tournaments and the other $4 million online.
