SportPesa to Sponsor Hull City FC

Sports betting operator SportPesa has announced that they have signed a sponsorship deal with Premier League Club Hull City FC, and will be a shirt sponsor for the next three years.

The deal is good through the 2018-2019 football season, and saw SportPesa paying a £10 million consideration, and will see the SportPesa logo being placed on the front of the club's shirts, and will also consist of a friendly match between Hull City and a Kenyan club (SportPesa is based out of Africa).

Commenting on the deal SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri said, "This is a big milestone for SportPesa as it marks the scaling of a Kenyan brand into the global market. The SportPesa platform will now be available in the United Kingdom and later in the year present in several African countries. One year from now we will have presence in at least four continents."

Hull City Commercial Director Simon King also commented, adding: "The deal is by far the largest in our history and a sign of our ambition to grow our club and become a household name in our sport globally."

Hull City will achieve great amount of funds because of this deal but they fully deserved it because of their PL comeback. The play-off against Darby County was so even but Tigers won it in the end and now they collect all the huge bonuses coming with that victory.
