SBTech Joins Romanian Gaming Market

Internet gaming group has announced that they have been granted a sportsbetting license, and will be the first operator to offer regulated live sportsbetting in the country.

The company was granted a Class II gaming license by the Oficul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc, and will offer their services through NetBet's Romanian website. Based out of Gibraltar, SBTech was founded in 2007 and hosts offices throughout Europe and Israel. The company is the latest to join the Romanian betting market, joining iSoftBet, Play'n GO, NetBet, and several other firms in creating a regulated gaming market in the country of nearly 20 million people.

It's nice that Romanian punters will have a chance to have one more sports betting option and in fact maybe the only legal one 🙂 I know that Bet365 and most of the others leading bookies are not licensed in Romania so every new option would be welcomed from the bettors I believe.
