UK betting firm Matchbook has announced that they have signed a sponsorship deal and will become the Official Betting Partner of the Qatar Goodwood Festival, and will gain exclusive marketing rights as a result.
The deal will see Matchbook sponsoring the horse racing festival, which has become known as the Glorious Goodwood among its fans. The company will be sponsoring five races during the first three days of the festival, including "The Matchbook Betting Exchange Stakes". The company will get signage throughout the venue, and will also have rights to offer exclusive opportunities to customers and those visiting the track.
Commenting on the deal Matchbook Spokesman Cian Nugent said, "For years Matchbook has built a reputation of providing unparalleled value to sports betting customers, and adding horse racing is the obvious next evolution of that. Over the last 18 months, we have invested significantly in the development of an industry leading platform and now that we are ready to raise the gate on horse racing it seems only fitting that we choose an event with the pedigree of The Qatar Goodwood Festival to debut a much-improved experience for Matchbook customers."
Goodwood Racecourse General Manager Alex Eade also commented, noting: "We are really pleased to have Matchbook supporting the Qatar Goodwood Festival as our official betting partners for the first three days of the meeting. Their horseracing platform will provide our guests with an exciting way to place their bets and we are sure that they will make the most of the betting tips offered by the Matchbook team. Providing guests with a view over the Racecourse from a hot air balloon is an incredible way to mark this new partnership."
