Delaware Cuts Daily Fantasy Sports

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

The state of Delaware has taken action to stop daily fantasy sports within its borders, as state Attorney General Matthew Dean sent a cease and desist letter to major operators in the state.

The notice was sent to Yahoo, DraftKings, and FanDuel, noting that real money fantasy sports is not currently allowed under Delaware law. The state is requesting that the sites keep citizens of Delaware from playing these games, and also notifying new players that they do not accept action in the state. Delaware is one of three states that offers online betting to customers, but they have not yet taken a stance on legalizing daily fantasy sports within their borders.

Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.

Daily fantasy sports branch has a lot of problems recently not only in Delaware but all across US.
It's a survivol battle and I guess we will know in the next months if that battle could be won by the DFS operators.
