Internet betting software developer Yggdrasil Gaming has announced that they have been granted a gaming license from the Gibraltar Licensing Authority, which will now allow Yggdrasil to offer games to operators based in the jurisdiction.
The licensing is a big deal for Yggdrasil, which has also gained a UK gaming license and now has full access to the British market with the combined Gibraltar license. The company also boasts licensing in Malta, where it has its headquarters. Yggdrasil burst on the scene a few years ago, creating a series of slots that has been picked up by a number of large gaming operators with a focus on the European gaming market.
Commenting on the licensing Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said, "Gibraltar is a hugely important jurisdiction with a large number of major operators and we are delighted to become part of the Gibraltar e-gaming community."
