Pennsylvania Politicians Gauging Interest in Online Gaming Regulation

This story was published more than 6 years ago.

Pennsylvania politicians are reportedly gauging the interest of their colleagues in voting on internet gambling regulation in the Keystone State.

The lawmakers are aiming to try to get a vote on the matter to take place next week, as Pennsylvania is facing competition from the neighboring state of New Jersey when it comes to offering online games to customers. There have been multiple attempts to try to pass through online gambling laws in the past, but the legislation has always failed to advance.

In addition to online casino gambling, politicians may end up also addressing daily fantasy sports, which is sitting in a legal gray area.

Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.

Sounds like Pennsylvania politicians are keen to force the regulation process in the state, I think they just might find a way to do it in the end. I think this is the process which is inevitable and will take place in most of the US states sooner or later.
