Canadian betting giant Amaya gaming has announced that its subsidiary PokerStars has launched their new BetStars sportsbetting product in France, allowing poker players the chance to bet on their favorite games through their poker client.

The BetStars client is available now through iOS and Android devices as well as the traditional desktop software. There are seven different sports taking action, but more options will be coming as the platform evolves. You can use your current PokerStars wallet funds to place BetStars wagers, integrating an all-in-one solution.

Commenting on the launch Amaya VP of Corporate Communications Eric Hollreiser said, "The launch of BetStars.fr means that French customers have a safe, secure and convenient place to bet on sports. As we roll out our offering in different countries, we can see that the crossover between poker players and sports bettors is strong."

There have been a slate of new sportsbetting products being released in Europe because of the Euro 2016 football tournament, which is ongoing and generating a huge number of bets throughout the globe.

More and more gambling companies who operates in other branches turned their business into the sports betting field which is quite reasonable move I guess. And when we talk about giant like Amaya and Pockerstars we understand that it's really where the biggest profits are.
