Russia Proposal Would Fine Online Gamblers

This week it was revealed that Russian politicians are proposing a bill that would fine gamblers found to have betting at unauthorized sites between 10,000 and 20,000 Rubles.

The bill would take drastic measures to curb illegal betting in the country, where politicians claim illegal online gambling is running rampant. The move comes despite the fact that there are already stringent activities in place to block out offshore sites. Additionally, there is a proposal that would outlaw all bookmakers from outside the country from operating within the country.

This proposal was introduced by Yevgeny Fyodorov, who also revealed that the country plans to license sportsbetting from companies already based in Russia.

There have been no firm details on either proposal, but Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.

Online market regulations are quite controversial theme all over the world with an exception of few Western European countries in which the whole gambling business has been regulated andoring fine long time ago.
The Ppoliticians and the governments in general have to be concentrated on that to regulate the market properly and make the gambling taxes reasonable for all companies which want to deal on the particular market instead of trying to leach the punters who just trying to have some fun and make a little money if possible on some of the leading gambling sites.

I don't think it's actually real to block all sites. They can try but players will always find a way to gamble illegally.
