Sky Vegas Censured Over No Lose Promo

This week it was revealed that the UK Advertising Standards Authority sanctioned Bonne Terre Ltd, who runs the Sky Vegas betting brand over a No Lose promotion that ran in January.

The offending promotion had text that read: "No Lose Month No Lose Month. Throughout January! Play Risk Free throughout January at Sky Vegas - Terms Apply". The terms of the offer had players opting in to a No Lose offer for cash back on net losses, but had a cap and other terms.

That promotion led to two complaints, who said that even though they knew there was a limit to the amounts covered under the losing bet, that money refunded was treated like a bonus, and thus had wagering requirements attached and where therefore misleading to customers.

The ASA agreed, noting that the terms did not mesh with the copy, and instructed Sky Vegas to not run the ad in the future unless they alter the verbiage of their terms.

Yeah I think the punters had been mislead by the Sky Vegas ad and rightfully so the advert had been censured by ASA. Some of these companies trying to take advantage of the punters by the terms in which the customers often are not aware of.
