Delaware Sets Online Gaming Revenue Record in March

Last month the state of Delaware set new records for online betting, netting $260,539 in the month of March.

For the month Dover Downs, Harrington Raceway, and Delaware Park all brought in $260,539, which is an all-time high that beat the $240,762 that was made in April 2014. Online poker generated $37,324 for the month, up 32% from last month. Online casino games actually dropped 30% from February to $68,420. Video lottery had the largest jump, bringing in $154,794, which is also an all-time high.

Online gaming has been slow to take off in Delaware, as the state has a smaller population of roughly 1,000,000 people and competition from land casinos in other states. Conversely, the state of New Jersey has seen its online betting industry take off, with revenues reaching $15.5 million in March.

It's quite unusual land based industry to doing better than the online gambling, it's exactly the opposite in rest of the world! I guess. But as a whole these are still an increasing numbers in the gambling industry in Delaware.
