Wheel of Fortune Slot Continues to Pay Big for IGT

For years betting giant IGT has offered a variety of slot machines that are based off the hit game show "Wheel of Fortune", and the company's slots continue to pay out big for players, as four players have won $7.7 million in jackpots during the past two months alone.

Wheel of Fortune is IGT's most popular slot series, and saw a punter at the Trump Taj Mahal win $3,084,922 while playing the newest iteration of the multi-leveled slot on January 2nd. Other big winners were a punter at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, which had a $1,015,324 win, a player with a $1,743,286 win at the Mohegan Sun, and a $2,005,393 win at the Greektown Casino in Detroit.

IGT has had its partnership with the Wheel of Fortune brand since 1996 when it launched its first slot based on the show. Since that time the game has become known as the "Millionaire Maker", as it has made more than 1,000 players millionaires. There are many different variations of the game, and there are also online versions of the game, which are distributed through regulated jurisdictions.

Wheel of Fortune is a game show that was created by Merv Griffin in 1983 and features longtime host and hostess Pat Sajak and Vanna White. The show is popular throughout the world and has more than 60 variations offered throughout the world.
