New Hampshire Will Consider Casino Gambling

This story was published more than 8 years ago.

The state of New Hampshire is gearing up to allow for land casino gambling in its state, as politicians are set to vote on a bill that would allow for a single casino to be built within its borders.

The vote is the latest for the Granite State on the issue, as previous votes have not ever gotten to the Governor's desk. The most recent attempt to pass legislation failed last year when the Senate voted down a bill that would have allowed two casinos within the state. If this bill gets through to Governor Maggie Hassan's desk, she would likely approve it, but if the bill takes longer it may not pass, as Hassan's term is up this year and candidates for the position have not expressed their support.

Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.

It could be an important first step for New Hampshire if that casino project goes trough, even though just a single casino I think it still could be an important break trough for the gambling industry in the state.
