Michigan Lottery Extends Deal with IGT

This story was published more than 8 years ago.

This week it was announced that the Michigan Lottery has announced that they have signed a content extension with giant IGT, which will continue to offer self-serve lottery machines and operating systems to the Wolverine State as a result.

The deal will go through 2021 with the four-year extension, and will see IGT also supplying the state with its ES Anywhere product, which has a number of mobile and internet products for customers. IGT will also train retailers, provide marketing support, and warehousing systems for the lottery. Currently IGT manages 11,000 terminals throughout the state.

Commenting on the agreement IGT CEO of North America Lottery Michael Chambrello said, "IGT is committed to providing products and services for sustainable lottery growth. To that end, we will continue to work closely with the Michigan Lottery to provide added convenience to its players and retailers through additional self-service lottery vending products and the use of evolving technology."

Obviously it's a good partnership for both sides if they decided to extend it. For me the Lottery is a great way for people to hope that their destiny could be changed and for some of them it really happens.
