In an effort to appeal to millennials, casinos throughout the United States are pitching casino games to their customers that mix in an element of skill, with the state of Massachusetts working on new regulations on the machines last week.
The new machines haven't been released yet, but would allow players to play more traditional video game style games, with the possibility of playing Pac Man or Space Invaders to earn extra money being possible.
Massachusetts has already approved skill games, so the state's regulators are simply working on how to regulate the titles before they are deployed in casinos. Although the games are already approved, they are not without their detractors, as Stop Predatory Gambling National Director Les Bernal said, "They're trying to find new ways to get people hooked on gambling. It's an incredibly predatory business for that reason."
Casino Listings will keep on the introduction of the skill-based games and will preview the games as they are deployed.
