Internet betting firm Unibet plc has announced that they have signed a sponsorship deal with the Royal Dutch Cycling Union, which oversees the sport of cycling in the Netherlands.
The deal will start in 2017 and run through 2020 and be worth €7 million. Unibet will be able to put its marketing materials up at all Royal Dutch Cycling events, which will include signage and logos on uniforms.
Commenting on the deal Royal Dutch Cycling Chairman Marcel Wintels said, "The partnership between the KNWU and Unibet assures that Dutch cycling from the base, such as associations and national leagues, through to the top national selections and Dutch championships, will receive huge financial support for years to come."
Unibet Director of Western Europe Anne-Jaap Snijders said, "Unibet is proud of this sponsorship agreement with the KNWU, which shows that we are fully committed to investment in grassroots through to top-level cycling when the road to operate under a licence in the Netherlands opens."
