Police in the Malaysian city of Maraudi have announced that they have conducted a series of raids against what they have dubbed "mini" land casinos that also have online betting operations.

The raids took place during the nighttime and arrested 13 people in three mini casinos. The raid also saw 16 computers, 37 tablets, 2 fish gambling machines, and 29 slot machines seized by authorities.

Commenting on the fish betting machine and the betting ring Police Chief SAC Dev Kumar Sree Shunmugam said, "To the untrained eye, it looks just like an ordinary fish machine. It appears that operators are finding ingenious ways to continue operating cyber gambling in the state, considering the high stakes involved. From the high number of tablets seized in Maraudi, it is obvious that the operators are now providing hand-held devices for online gambling. These devices are cheap and concealable."
