China Gambling Raid Stops Billion Dollar Gambling Ring

Last week Chinese police announced that they have conducted a major raid on a Chinese gambling ring in the Hunan and Guadong provinces, arresting 98 people in the process.

The ring was found to have handled more than $78 billion in wagers throughout the years, with 12 different venues in operation, along with 500 internet casino sites that serviced millions of punters. The ring is one of the largest taken down in China since it begun cracking down on illegal online gambling.
