Internet betting giant 888 has announced that they have donated $50,000 to the medical charity International Medical Corps UK, which was given just before the Christmas holiday.
The International Medical Corps UK has provided medical services throughout the world, most recently helping Filipinos affected by Typhoon Halyan, those suffering from Ebola in Africa, and refugees who have been affected by the Civil War in Syria.
888Casino Global Marketing Director Sivan Finn said, "Our hope is that the money helps International Media Corps to relieve the suffering of those affected by war and natural disasters, through the provision of essential health services."
A spokesperson from IMCUK also posted a statement on the donation, noting: "Speed saves lives in an emergency and the initial hours are critical for those affected. The fund will also enable International Medical Corps staff to stay and remain in communities for the long term to train local people, and build robust health care systems which are better able to cope in the future."
