This week the Executive Director of the Poker Players Alliance revealed that US Representative Jason Chaffetz has scheduled a hearing on the Restoration of America's Wire Act bill for December 9th, likely a last ditch attempt to get the bill passed into law for the year.
The hearing was revealed by John Pappas, who took to Twitter and wrote:
The on again, off again iGaming hearing in Congress is now on again. OGR Comm chaired by Chaffetz expected to push RAWA on December 9th-jp

Pappas then went on to urge online gamblers to contact their representatives and let them know that they oppose an online gambling ban.
The Restoration of America's Wire Act bill would effectively outlaw online gambling in the United States, but the bill has gained little support from politicians, despite heavy support from gambling billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who has been pushing political donations on Republicans he hopes will push his agenda through.
