This week the government of Cambodia revealed that it has granted approval to two land casinos to begin offering online games.

The Cabinet of Cambodia approved the application by the Koh Kong Resort and the O'Smach Casino, which are incidentally owned by a Cambodian Senator. The casino will also be allowed to expand the number of slot machines that are offered and also allow for online bets on golf, horse races, football, and cockfights.

Commenting on the approval Cambodia Ministry of Economy and Finance representative Mey Vann said, "Although the government has allowed additional gambling products and services, we still do not allow local people to gamble."
