Internet betting firm Playtech has revealed that they will formally challenge the Central Bank of Ireland's opposition to its acquisition of Ava Trade Ltd.
Playtech revealed that they will formally challenge the bank's decision, as they will not be able to overcome the central issue that is related to the opposition. Those reasons have not been revealed publicly, but Playtech issued a statement which read:
"The Central Bank of Ireland ("CBI") has reverted to the company's Irish legal advisers and clarified its position. Following this communication and having taken legal advice, the company intends to formally challenge the decision."
No timetable for the appeal has been given, but Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.
