New York Group Wants On-Site Internet Gambling

This week it was revealed that the Amusement and Music Owners Association of New York wants to have the ability to offer on-site legal internet gambling for bars and clubs in the Empire State.

The group will reportedly make a lobbying push to legalize such a move in the state's clubs and bars, adding an extra revenue stream to the businesses. The group's president Ken Goldberg says that such a move can bring in a new clientele, meaning more money toward the group's bottom line, as many visitors are engaged with their mobile devices, even while out on the town.

"Today, customers can legally participate in gaming right from their cell phones, iPads and other electronic devices," Goldberg said. "Our challenge is to stay relevant and continue to demonstrate to our customers that we offer value and attractive entertainment options in our locations."
