Online gambling firm Betway has announced that they have signed a sponsorship deal with the Electronic Sports League and will become the title sponsor ok the group's UK Premiership.
The Electronic Sports League features various competitions involving video games and currently has more than 50 games which it features on its roster. More than 5 million players making up more than 1 million teams participate in the German based league.
As a result of the deal Betway will be offering pre-game and in-play bets during various tournaments, with he first competition being the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament which is set to take place at MCM ComicCon in London on October 24th.
Commenting on the deal Betway Media Relations Manager Alan Alger said, "The partnership with ESL further cements our commitment to the e-sports community and we can't wait for the playoffs and finals to get started."
The ESL's Peter Mather added: "Betting is already a huge part of the CS:GO [Counter-Strike: Global Offensive] community and our partnership with Betway will provide a tried and trusted alternative for our fans and spectators, encouraging growth within the UK."
