NCAA Warns Athletes Over Daily Fantasy Sports

This week the National Collegiate Athletic Association issued a statement that warned college athletes that if they are found to be playing daily fantasy sports they will lose a year of eligibility.

The statement came directory from the NCAA VP of Regulatory Affairs Oliver Luck who said that players could pay big for playing on legal websites such as DraftKings and FanDuel, which is growing at an exponential rate in the United States.

Backing up the official Mississippi State Athletic Director Scott Strickland also warned his student-athletes, noting: "Any athlete found to be gambling on college sports (includes daily fantasy such as Draft Kings) automatically loses a year of eligibility."
