This week the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and Jersey Gambling Commission have revealed that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, and will share information related to online gambling regulation.

The agreement will see the regulators sharing information regarding the exchange, handling, acquisition, protection, and use of information related to online gambling operations that are sanctioned in each jurisdiction.

Commenting on the agreement Kahnawake Gaming Commission Chairperson Mark Jocks said, "We are convinced that it benefits both players and the online gaming industry to enhance the level of cooperation between and among online gaming regulators and to this end, we are very pleased to have formalized a relationship of mutual cooperation with the Jersey Gambling Commission."

Jersey Gambling Commission CEO Dr. Jason Lane added: "This is a welcome development - it's increasingly important for gambling regulators to work together, not just to share best practice, but in a practical sense."
