EGBA Challenges Dutch Lottery Licenses

This week the European Gaming and Betting Association has announced that they are challenging the Dutch process of issuing lottery licenses in the Netherlands, as the trade group claims the process is "non-transparent and discriminatory".

Last year licenses were awarded to De Staatsloterij, De Lotto, Holland Casino, Nationale Postcode Loterij, BankGiro Loterij and VriendenLoterij by Kansspelautoriteit. EGBA claims that the lack of transparency in the award process and the fact that there was no correct tendering process in the awarding of the license is a violation, and thus caused the group to challenge the process.

The EGBA is lodging the case after it claims that Betfair was denied the opportunity to submit a bid for horse racing and Toto licenses. For their part, Kannspleautorteit claims that its decision is valid, as the policies are in line with other Dutch gaming policy issues.

Our country really want to improve the gaming business by getting more things legal, Holland casino is the one and only Legal casino here, we have more small casino's but those are called, entertaining center's they offer 2 euro machines, and old ones. while holland casino serve WMS games, IGt, bally and everything, and it's run by our goverment;) they should be online in 2015 with an online casino, but as i thought nothing new is posted so while take long time before we really getting in too this!
