The state of Delaware saw its online gambling numbers climb last month, reaching $158,980 across all active sites.
The increase shows that the numbers are 12% higher than July, but down 8% from the same period last year. 316 new accounts were opened during the month, and online poker accounted for $31,248 of total revenues.
Online gaming has struggled to gain a foothold in Delaware, which has a small population and competes with other neighboring states for gambling traffic. It is hoped that gambling compacts with other states will add more revenue to Delaware's bottom line going forward.
