America's Cardroom Suffers DDoS Attack

Online poker site America's Cardroom has announced that they have been hit by a Distributed Denial of Service attack by a group of unknown hackers, who demanded a ransom to stop their onslaught of fake traffic to the site.

The attack occurred on Sunday during the site's Millon Dollar Sunday tournament, which caused the site to suffer a loss of an estimated $300,000. America's Cardroom has not paid any of the ransom demanded, and it appears that the attacks have subsided as of press time.

The company took to Twitch to keep players aware of the situation and company CEO Phil Nagy commented by simply saying, "You can't give in to terrorism."
