Gaming firm Amaya Inc. has revealed this week that they are the main sponsor of the Start-up Open House this fall, giving the company visibility and supporting their home country's small businesses.
The event will take place in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver on October 29th, while Waterloo and Quebec City will have the event take place on November 5th. The Start-up Festival Open House aims to promote Canada's small businesses.
Commenting on the sponsorship Amaya CEO David Baazov said, "We're proud to have grown from a small group of entrepreneurs in Montreal to a global leader in online services. I am keenly aware of the challenges entrepreneurs face, especially in the current economic landscape."
"It's critical to support the next generation of start-ups as they build companies that will become tomorrow's industry giants. Start-up Open House is doing great work by providing an avenue for entrepreneurs to gain visibility, and we are extremely proud to support this initiative."
