Resorts Gains New Jersey Betting License

The Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City has gained its full online gaming license from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, allowing the casino's betting sites to continue operations.

The Resorts Casino Hotel has been offering casino games since March under its own website, and added games under the site MoheganSunCasino.com last month. The company transferred its online gaming assets to a new company titled Resorts Digital Gaming, LLC once the license was granted.

The casino utilizes software from NYX, and will offer PokerStars poker operations once Amaya Gaming is granted a gaming license.

Commenting on the licensing Resorts CEO Mark Giannantonio said, “Our online volume of business is made up of about 50 percent of bricks-and-mortar (Resorts) customers - and about 58 percent of them were inactive before resortscasino.com went online, Giannantonio said, adding that the online business “has helped our land-based casino.”
