Online betting software firm Playtech plc has announced that they have selected UK security firm GBG as the provider to ensure identity verification for its products.
As a result of the deal, GBG will be providing its services to Playtech's casino licensees, utilizing its IMS platform to ensure user identities are verified in an effort to cut down on fraud and money laundering. The deal will see GBG also providing services for Playtech's financial trading services division, which may include Plus500 when the deal is approved by regulators.
Commenting on the deal Playtech COO Shimon Akad said, "That service begins with player on-boarding but also includes campaign management, fraud and risk management and transaction monitoring. Working with GBG, we are able to offer the best identity intelligence solutions on the market."
