Betting giant NYX Gaming has announced that it has completed the purchase of developers Chartwell Technology and Cryptologic from Amaya Gaming for $150 million in cash and shares.

As a result of the deal NYX will purchase all of Cryptologic, Chartwell and its subsidiaries, and in turn will license some of the software back to Amaya as part of the gaming library for Full Tilt and PokerStars. The deal completes a brief ownership of Chartwell by Amaya, who picked up the firm in 2011.

Commenting on the deal Amaya CEO David Baazov said, "We are very proud to have created substantial value in these businesses and to return that value to shareholders. With our B2B businesses now divested, we can focus on our consumer online gaming operations and enhancing shareholder value through deleveraging."

"We also look forward to our ongoing relationship with these businesses through our licensing arrangement, which will give our casino brands access to the popular and innovative titles from NYX."
