MGA Posts Warning Regarding Casino-Ra

This week the Malta Gaming Authority posted a warning regarding the online casino site Casino-Ra, stating that the casino has falsely claimed that it is licensed through the MGA.

Casino-Ra is an online casino that services the Russian-speaking areas of Europe, and had a notice on its site that read: "Casino-Ra is owned by R & R Holding LTD, a company registered in the European Union in Malta. R & R Holding LTD is the owner of the license (LGA / CL1 / 1025/2014) issued by The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA), on behalf of the Government of Malta."

The casino also reportedly had logos for eCOGRA, Gamble Aware, GamCare, and the EGBA on their site, but as of press time those pieces as well as the MGA certification were off the site.

Casinos that post bogus licensing information are almost always run by rogue operators, and punters should be very careful when dealing with Casino-Ra given the actions of the site.

Thus far Casino-Ra has not responded to the allegations, but Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.
