Kansspelautoriteit Fines Total E Soft, XKL Limited

Dutch gaming regulator Kansspelautoriteit has announced that they have laid down hefty €180,000 fines on the directors of Total E Soft and XKL Limited while also slapping fines on the companies themselves.

The fine stems from both companies operating 14 websites that targeted Dutch punters from a period of March and June 2014. The sites in question offered sportsbetting, poker, and casino gams to punters. All of the sites used Total E Soft software and had advertising that was provided by XKL Limited.

The large fines are being given due to their opinion that both groups actively took the chance to offer their services to punters inside the Netherlands.

For their part, Total E Soft Limited said that they were targeting Dutch punters living outside the Netherlands. Both groups are able to appeal their fine, and it appears most likely that will in fact be the case.
