Delaware's online betting industry suffered a small setback in June after casino gambling declined but online poker numbers saw a modest improvement.
Online poker numbers were up 20% from the same period last year, reaching $30,675. When compared to May though, those numbers are a sharp 21.8% decline, as the state brought in $39,245 in the previous month.
Online casino games were down to $108,692, which is down 42% from last year and also down 18.7% from May's $133,697. For the month 301 punters registered accounts at Delaware casinos, bringing the total amount of registered accounts to 11,000 since the activity was legalized and regulated.
Thus far online betting has failed to take off in Delaware, mainly due to the low population residing in "The First State" and lack of gaming compacts with other states.
