Dutch Gaming Regulator in Agreement With Media Over Betting Spots

Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit has announced that they have come to an agreement with various media houses in the Netherlands regarding the advertising of unlicensed online betting sites.

As a result of the agreement, media group will not be accepting advertising from unlicensed operators. The move is seen a key in promoting the upcoming regulated market.

The various media groups who have agreed to decline unlicensed operator ads are:

  • The Affiliate Networks Platform Netherlands (PAN)

  • Eredivisie Media & Marketing C.V.

  • FOX International Channels Netherlands B.V.

  • RTL Netherlands B.V.

  • Sanoma Media Netherlands BV

  • SBS Broadcasting B.V.

  • Television Advertising Foundation (Ster)

It is expected that this list will grow to include even more media networks.
